Year 5 Residential 2017 - Day 4
It's our last full day on the residential and it's been another inspiring one!
At breakfast we had cereal and juice for starters and then beans on toast, vegetarian sausages and saute potatoes. Yum! We read some more of the messages from families and friends whilst the children ate. We have been overwhelmed by the amount of comments and the children have loved hearing from you so please keep them coming.
It's been another busy day with lots of fun activities including Jacob's Ladder, orienteering, fire lighting and vertical climbing. It was great to see the children pushing themselves to overcome their fears and complete challenging tasks. They've developed their team skills as they worked together to solve problems.
This evening we are going to be enjoying a tasty pasta bake for dinner. Tonight we'll have the campfire and we are really excited to roast marshmallows! We will then go back to our dorms to pack in preparation for coming home tomorrow.
It's been great to witness the many magic moments that the children have experienced this week as well as having fun taking part in all the activities myself! I've enjoyed getting to know the Year 5s. They have so much character and I'm looking forward to teaching them next year.
One more sleep! See you all tomorrow!
