In 2023-2024, teaching staff across the Blossom Federation began undertaking some individual professional action research as part of their appraisals.
Each individual could identify a research question linked to an aspect of school development. They were tasked with generating the research question, formulating an abstract, choosing their methodology and presenting their findings. They were also asked to make recommendations for Federation wise implementation.
We have now completed two cycles and the results are below. Teachers took inspiration from their day-to-day work, their understanding of the curriculum and their individual children to present really interesting and informative findings. We hope you enjoy reading these.
We have formed an Action Research Group made up of teachers from each school who will look at how the findings can influence across our Federation.
