This really was a day that made you say, “WOW!” We started the day off with a delicious taste tour of the UK. We had Scottish shortbread, Welsh cake, Irish Boxty and English scones. We had to rate what we tasted and describe the taste and texture. Then we picked a landmark and had to build it. This required patience, creativity and a massive amount of teamwork. Finally, we used all of our knowledge to create posters advertising the different countries in the UK. We’re now all really excited to properly get started with our first unit in geography - The UK.

I liked shortbread the most no offence Miss Meehan?I guess the broxty was alright☾ Anyway then we built famous England building such as Big Ben or should I say Elizabeth Tower cough cough Mr Dharma cough cough. Gloria 6M - This day is the BEST DAY of my life! I get to try the Welsh cake,Scottish breads ( whatever it's called) and I love it when I built the Tower Of London , even though it changed to Big Ben! But I loved it. ?

Cristina-6M - It was a really fun and exiting day. My favourite part was when we got to build our landmarks.me and my group built the Tower of London ,It was quite hard to build it but it was also really fun ?
Elisabeth-6M - I really enjoyed making Giant's Causeway! It was ironic that we used plastic to make the ocean when plastic is polluting the ocean! I really liked the shortbread and scones. Making posters was just as fun as everything else.

Brian 6M - WOW day was AMAZING! I can't say how much I enjoyed it. Me and my partner made Big Ben (Elizabeth tower) and I'm really impressed with what we made. But, our class ended up being the messiest however, we were able to tidy it up.
Aaliyah 6M - This was a really fun lesson. It was so much FUN?. We built famous landmarks from the UK, we also tried foods from the UK but sadly, I could not eat anything. It was a very good day
xiomara 6m - Wow day was super fun and I had such a great time doing all of the sessions with my classmates. I really liked the one where we could create our own Landmark I hope that we can do something like this again.

Mrs Taylor - Impressive work, Year 6! Your landmark creations are so realistic (future architects?) and it looks like you worked well in your teams. Loving the big smiles-you all look proud of your fabulous creations, as you should be! The food looks delicious too. I'm curious to know what Irish boxty tastes like...maybe one of you could let me know.
