Year 6 - SATs Celebration

Hi Year 6, we've put together this video for you to celebrate you finishing what is normally one of the more memorable half-terms in primary school - the half-term when you should have been sitting your SATs. As it was, you didn't have to sit them but arguably you have faced something much more challenging. The whole Year 6 team are so proud of everything you've done so far and we know that this last half-term will be a success - because you will make it so. Well done.

I must admit I was looking forward to attending your graduation but let’s be positive. Remember we’re always together never apart maybe in distance but never in heart. Sarah 6F- - This video made me very sad because there were many good times that could've carried on! Unfortunately Corona Virus has came and we had to stay home! I missed school and school friends very much! During year 6 I learnt algebra and more reading! I learnt maths a bit better as well. Many year 6's have had a great time in Daubeney and I'm sure they will look back at the memories! When I go Year 7 I would definitely carry on looking at the website to support the new Year 6's I will miss the teachers and this school a lot! Miss Meehan I hope your baby is healthy and good! She or he is very cute! Well done Year 6 teachers for teaching us so much! We loved it! Although many lessons were difficult we would never give up because we try our best! Mr Logan you were also a great head teacher! You made everyone day shine as well as the all the other teachers! I really loved reading at school! I am glad most of us can go school! Miss Nadia you was an amazing support teacher! You made many of our fears go away! You were amazing and I am sure the future Year 6's will love their support teacher aswell! You all was amazing and I cannot believe us Year 6's are going soon!

Miss Yasmin - Love, love, LOVE this video Mr. Swarbrick! ?
All the very best to our wonderful year 6 for secondary school and beyond ??

Miss Nadia - Amazing Video, literally made me cry ? but mostly made me remember how amazing our Daubeney family is ?????? Miss you all ❤️?

Mr Logan - What an emotional video?!
Brian and Angel your words lead me to believe the video was emotional for you both (as well as Miss Patel) and I can totally understand. No doubt everybody who has watched the video felt that way - great work Mr Swarbrick.
However I think we should re-focus our thoughts and ponder on how this experience is making us stronger, more resilient and more adaptable individuals.
Far from feeling broken Brian (I know that’s how you felt at that time??) you should feel immensely proud!
Over the years at Daubeney all of Year 6 have demonstrated their wonderful individuality, yet their solidarity with each other in times of need. Like all families we have our squabbles, but we ‘love’ each other really ?
We have known all our along that our job was to prepare Year 6 for secondary school, but this experience feels more like we’re getting you ready for university! The home learning skills you guys are showing are those needed by undergraduates! Continue to enjoy every second of our summer 2 half-term and focus on the positives! If you’d like more tips on how to enjoy this term PLEASE listen to episode 24 of the school’s podcast as hosted by Elisabeth - another example of why at Daubeney we are the...?
But MORE IMPORTANTLY, why are we the best?
And what happens when you do your best?
Daubeney ?s you
Never do less than your best

Angel 6F - aww ? I miss everyone from school!!

Miss Patel - What an amazing video, it made me so emotional. Year 6, you have made me so proud with the way you have remained so positive through this experience. What a brilliant bunch of children you all are! I am extremely proud to be a part of the Daubeney family, tough times never last, tough people do! I have to mention 6F (how could I not?) you guys are honestly the one of craziest, funniest, smartest young children I have ever had the pleasure of teaching. Thank you for being the amazing children that you are and remember, we are always here for you :)

Brian-6M - Is it just me or do I sad because this video :/ im broken
