To begin our new topic, we discussed what we already know about shelters. We then learned how to define a shelter and different types of shelters. We also discussed and defined functionality. In our groups, we decided on the type of shelter we wanted to make and researched it. We researched the materials that usually are used to build it, if it was weatherproof, the vocabulary used for the shelter and many other things! For our next step we defined what shelter is and thought of materials we would need to recreate a model of our chosen shelter.
