Year 6 - Daubeney Alumni

On Monday 8th October some past pupils from Daubeney, who are now Year 7s at Cardinal Pole, visited Year 6 to discuss life at secondary school. They talked about their timetable, uniform, homework and gave us advice on how to prepare for secondary school. We were told that the expectations in Year 7 are much higher than in Year 6 and they gave some useful tips.

  • Remember to bring in all your equipment and stationery
  • Organise your homework in your planner and bring it in on time
  • Prepare for your day the evening before
  • Be on time for all your lessons
  • Wear the full, correct uniform (including the colour of your socks and your hair style!)
  • Avoid detentions by doing all of the above!

We enjoyed seeing our old Daubeney friends and we feel more prepared for Year 7.
