As part of our cross curricular topic Year 6 have been constructing balanced mobile structures using wire. The wire structures are inspired by Alexander Calder who was hugely influenced by an artist called Miro. Whilst building our structures we had to keep in mind some key factors: the structure had to balance an object; had to be creative; and we had to be careful while handling rigid pieces of material.
