As part as a pioneering joint Spanish and Music project, students in Year 5 have revisited vocabulary and structures we originally learnt in the Autumn term. Students are now able to express their musical preferences and justify their opinions using music specific vocabulary, such a timbre, texture and tempo.
A very fortunate small group of students will be performing a folk Mexican song in front of teachers from across different schools in Hackney at the end of June, so we have also done some work around the song’s origin and Mexico’s history and traditions.

Bernadette Clinton - I am so excited to hear your pupils playing and singing at the Erasmus+ conference on 23 June. It will not only be to Hackney teachers but also visitors from Tenerife and Portugal who are part of our project.
