Today was Mapping Day, and our learning focused on developing our knowledge of maps and how to use them confidently. We explored different types of maps, including thematic maps of Turkey, which link directly to our current geography topic. The children examined themes such as population, climate, major cities, and physical features. Using what they learned, they then created their own maps of Turkey, carefully plotting key places, landforms, and important physical features. It was a great opportunity for them to build their geographical skills and show their understanding through creative map-making.
