Year 5 - Literacy and Art

Our whole school focus book this term, 'Where's Elephant' is an amazing book about an elephant who falls victim to deforestation. The children in year 5 were excited to draw the before and after effects of deforestation. They captured the colour and size of the jungle and then showed the same colour and size of the concrete jungle that replaced it. We really enjoyed the book and would like to research this topic further in future lessons.
