Year 4 had fun learning all about maps on Mapping Skills Day today (12-09-2023). The children started their learning by learning about ordnance survey maps and the different symbols that are used to represent physical and human features. We then looked at grid references and identifying co-ordinates on a map. Then we recapped the 8 compass points and practiced using them to give directions. We ended our day looking at our local area and drawing our own maps using a key.
