Year 3 - Visit from an Archaeologist

Today (27th February 2019) Year 3 were lucky enough to be visited by a real life archaeologist from UCL (University College London)! She brought with her a variety of stones from the different stages of the Stone Age. We got to touch them and we guessed what they were used for.

"Some of the stones were used as axes or to chop crops" - Riya

"I can't believe that these are real life Stone Age stones that the Stone Age people used!" - Mohamed.

Moussa - I love archaeologists because I love history.

Charlotte 3p - The workshop was so much fun and I got to learn more stuff

Mr Matvad - That looks so interesting!

Faaris 3T - I really liked sitting at our tables and looking at the stones. I can't believe they were really from the Stone Age!

Ava 3T - I liked feeling the stones and they felt smooth and some of them felt really rough. I'm impressed that the Stone Age people used them to kill animals and get crops.
