Year 3 - Roman Roads

Year 3 have been learning all about the Romans this half term and this week’s focus was Roman Roads. Did you know that Roman roads were extremely straight and had no bends? Year 3 also studied that Roman roads had different layers starting with the rubble then stones and sand and lastly the smooth paving stone. They used the junk modelling materials and paint creatively to make their road look as realistic as possible. They made sure that they showed all of the different layers of the road.
