Year 3 had a fantastic learning experience at Kew Gardens to introduce our new topic for the half term: Rainforests! We explored Palm house with our teacher for the day. It was so humid! We discovered that Papaya fruit is used as medicine, and that Banana trees have huge purple flowers! We touched cocoa pods and even saw water dragons! Did you know that some flowers are carnivorous?! Fortunately, no children were eaten on this visit. Only a spider! We had a fantastic time and cannot wait to explore more!
