The children in year 2 visited the Gurdwara in Bow on Wednesday. The children and adults were asked to remove their shoes and socks and cover their heads with a scarf. They were warmly welcomed into the Gurdwara and shown to the prayer room. A lady explained what Sikhs believe in and how they worship. The children asked questions and were very respectful to others beliefs. The children had a really good visit learning lots of facts about the Sikh religion. The children then had a picnic on Mabley Green before we returned to school.
