This week in History we learnt about the explorer Captain Robert Falcon Scott. We discovered that he was part of a British team that were trying to be the first people to reach the South Pole. His expedition was called Terra Nova, and they set off in 1910, finally reaching the South Pole in January 1912. Unfortunately, they were beaten there by another team who had found a shorter way!
