Year 1 had an exciting visit from the author Hilda Offen. The children were eager to look at her books and were even more surprised when they found out she wrote and illustrated her own books. Hilda very kindly passed around storyboards and books of her work.
The children got to experience being an author themselves by making up a new poem with Hilda. Hilda illustrated the poem and the children got ideas of rhyming words by looking at what she included in her illustration.
