For our exciting 'Work Week' topic this week, 1B went on a trip to Sainsbury's in Dalston. This was an opportunity for them to experience the roles and responsibilities of some of the people that worked there.
They all got to decorate their own gingerbread man and of course eat it afterwards! The children also got to experience being a cashier and scan items of food and cash up at the till. Finally they all went on an aisle treasure hunt where they had to work with a partner to see who could find items on a shopping list the quickest.
They really enjoyed the whole experience and learned a lot about work in the real world.
