Today (5th February 2019) the boys read a very interesting extract called 'The Storm'. It was a story filled with similes, personification and metaphors, which made the story come alive. We sat in the book corner, all cosy, protected from the storm. We invited Mr TJ from City Year to join us and the boys practised recommending a book to Mr TJ.

Zakariya - 4K - I would recommend diary of a wimpy kid by Jeff kinney he is very funny and has a great sense of humour and his books are wonderful and amazing!
Aland 3T - Shakespeare has got comedy, tragedy and history. It has a lot of blood in it too. my favourite is Hamlet because there are lots of secrets and hiding secrets from themselves and not telling anyone.
Elias 3T - I like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid because it's really funny! Have you read it?
