🚀Zoom Zoom Rockets! 🚀
This week, our pupils were fully engaged in exploring rockets — wow! It has been an exciting journey of discovery, imagination, and hands‑on learning.
In our school library, children enjoyed looking through books about spaceships and rockets. They focused on the illustrations, using them to look at the different parts of a rocket and noticing the variety of shapes used in their designs.
Pupils explored different styles of rockets together as they identified 2D shapes they could see — circles, triangles, rectangles, and squares. even matched the colours to each shape using the interactive board. They had an opportunity practiced their counting skills by recording (writing) the number of each shape they spotted on the rockets.
Pupils showed great creativity, independence, and enthusiasm while constructing their personalised rocket designs.
It has truly been a week filled with curiosity, problem‑solving, and imaginative play to learn all all about shapes, colours, and numbers.
