As part of our Diwali Celebration, pupils had the opportunity to explore the festival by looking at a range of pictures and discussing what they could see, including diyas, rangoli patterns, gifts, candles, and other Diwali symbols. This encouraged vocabulary development, communication, and understanding of the celebration.
Following this, pupils practised their handwriting and letter formation skills by tracing Diwali-related words. They worked carefully to form letters correctly, developing fine motor control, pencil grip, and early writing skills while reinforcing key topic vocabulary.
