Exploring Christianity Vocabulary
As part of our RE Day, pupils took part in activities focused on Christianity vocabulary, helping them to learn and recognise important words and symbols associated with the Christian faith.
Using worksheets , pupils explored key vocabulary such as church, cross, Bible, and prayer etc .
The activities supported the development of communication skills, reading, writing, and understanding of different beliefs and traditions.
Designing Church
As part of our RE Day, our pupils had the opportunity to learn about Christianity and explore the importance of churches as places of worship.
To support their learning, pupils designed and coloured their own churches using 2D shapes, identifying shapes such as squares, rectangles, and triangles to create different parts of the building.
This engaging activity encouraged creativity while developing shape recognition, fine motor skills, and an understanding of Christian symbols and places of worship. Pupils enjoyed bringing their designs to life through colour and carefully thinking about the features that make a church special.
