Wow! We Have Fantastic Mathematicians.
Our pupils had a fantastic time exploring autumn-themed maths activities! They practised number formation on the interactive board and enjoyed tracing numbers on pumpkins and acorns in their worksheets. This supported their number recognition and helped develop fine motor skills through careful tracing.
Using markers and pencils, pupils traced numbers in order from 1 to 10. As they counted aloud while tracing, they built confidence in number sequencing and early counting skills.
One of the most exciting parts of the session was the challenge of using large buttons to create numbers—a fun, hands-on way to reinforce their learning while developing creativity and problem-solving skills.
Another great activity was working with peers to find specific colours of autumn leaves. Pupils counted the leaves they found and recorded the totals on the whiteboard. This helped them practise counting, colour recognition, and collaborative learning.
