Nursery found out all about the Christian celebration of Easter on their recent visit to the Church of St. Barnabas. They acted out part of the Easter story, standing in two lines and waving branches to welcome Jesus (played by Lexie and Nhyira!) as he arrived on his donkey and shouting 'HOSANNA!' Junaid from green class said, "I know a new word! Hosanna! You say it when you are happy with someone like people were with Jesus!" Although they were sad when they discovered that Jesus died, the nursery children were fascinated by the idea that he 'came to life' again. They were also overjoyed with the small chocolate egg they received at the end of their visit!
