During our science exposé workshop, Daubeney parents came in to share with us their fascinating careers, working in a science related (STEAM) sector. Children from different year groups enjoyed learning about and exploring careers from different fields. In the end, we all learnt that Science is in everything we do; whether we are on the playground, adjusting lights or mixing colours. Who knew that slicing bread actually involves a lot of science? Using gravity and fiction is science.

Year 3 - Luca - "I absolutely loved this because we got to explore lots of different science - themed careers!"

Year 6 - Sheya - "It was really interesting and my favourite part was when we did a science experiment where we extracted DNA from a strawberry! I also enjoyed the bakery."

Year 6 - Bahar - "I loved learning that it’s possible to extract DNA from a strawberry!"

Year 4 - Ollie - "During this workshop, I enjoyed learning how lights work, baking a great we tasted bread, we also used computer to create images and some ambassadors were helping us create them."

Year 5 - Uzair - "I liked the bakery area because we learnt about fermentation and how the dough rises!"
