Using Numicon Cubes, pupils measured a range of objects by placing the cubes next to them and comparing their sizes. This hands‐on approach helped pupils see which items were taller, shorter, longer, or smaller.
They pupils recorded their measurements on their worksheets by using Numicon Cubes to show the height or length of the jungle animals and everyday classroom items.
Pupils showed confidence as they counted the cubes, matched the correct cubes with height and lengths also recorded their answers by demonstrating a strong understanding of using non‐standard units of measurement
