Rainbow - Reading Stories

Pupils were well engaged during reading activities, particularly when listening to an adult read aloud the story "The Cat Who Had Different Coloured Shoes." The narrative captured their interest and provided a meaningful context for learning colours names.

  • Pupils demonstrated recognition of colours by pointing to the shoes as they were named in the story.
  • Several pupils verbally repeated the colours names, showing developing language skills.
  • Some pupils used Makaton signs to communicate the colours, supported by adult guidance, indicating inclusive and multimodal learning.
