As part of our science learning, the pupils took part in a hands‐on activity where they planted beans and cress. The pupils were highly engaged throughout the session, exploring the steps involved in planting and beginning to learn about the plant life cycle.
They had opportunities to touch and feel the seeds, scoop the soil, and water their own pots, which supported their sensory and fine‐motor development.
We talked about what plants need to grow such as sunlight, water, and space and the pupils enjoyed checking their pots to see any early changes. This practical experience helped the pupils develop curiosity, independence, and an early understanding of how living things grow.
