This week, the children in Rainbow Class explored the life cycle of plants and trees through a range of practical, sensory, and engaging learning activities.
Using pictures and matching activities, children explored the different parts of plants and trees by matching, labelling, or writing the names of each part on their worksheets. They also learned about what plants and trees need to survive and grow, including water, soil, sunlight, air, and space. Through a variety of activities, children developed their understanding of the different stages of a plant and tree life cycle.
To further extend their learning, children expressed their creativity by creating their own potted plant artwork using a mixture of dried and fresh leaves. This sensory experience encouraged exploration of different textures, colours, and natural materials while reinforcing their understanding of plants.
