Literacy Parent Workshop - March 2019
Miss Fergus invited some Year 1 and 2 parents to come to a workshop with their children to learn some fun ways to practice spelling at home. The Junior Literacy team were also there to support and the team played spelling and word games with the Year 1 and 2 children. The Junior Literacy Team even invented their own games and the children and parents loved it! There were also cookies and juice to go around. They learned a lot and found it very helpful.
‘The spelling games definitely provided me with some food for thought’ – Year 1 parent
‘It was helpful to learn how to help my child with spelling and learning new words.’ – Year 2 parent
‘We really enjoyed the activities with the children.’ – Year 1 parent
The next literacy parent workshop will be on Tuesday 21st May. Don’t miss it!
