Daubeney Awarded Top Award of PSQM Outreach for Science

Last night (13th November 2019) our ex-science lead Mr Swarbrick had the honour of collecting our PSQM Outreach award. He led science for 3 years and this is testament to the incredible science work that happens at Daubeney and it was a pleasure to be a part of the process.

At Daubeney we truly understand the importance of science in the primary curriculum and our vision is to make science accessible to all. As part of our outreach award we also had to reach out (hence the name) to other schools. The aim was to assist with the delivery of their science curriculum to make it as inclusive, impactful and (most importantly) as enjoyable as science is at Daubeney. This part of the process was truly humbling and it was amazing to work with other like-minded professionals.

There are 3 available awards: PSQM, PSQM GILT & PSQM Outreach. Daubeney are very proud to say that, out of 530 schools in this round of awards, we were 1 of only 27 that achieved Outreach. Congratulations to all of our teachers and pupils. We also want to congratulate our sister school Sebright Primary for being another 1 of the 27 who achieved Outreach. Well done, all!

Here are some pictures as a reminder of all things science that happen at Daubeney (and a very proud Mr Swarbrick with two equally proud science juniors).
