The Junior Art Team

We are very pleased to introduce ourselves to you. We are the Junior Art Team. We are in Years 2 to 6 and are very excited to get under way with lots of plans and projects over the year!

We met this week to decide what we want to do and to think about why we do it. We asked ourselves why the arts are important and we came up with lots of thoughtful and articulate ideas:

Using these ideas we came up with what our vision is:

We will inspire the school community to be creative and have fun.
We want everyone to feel relaxed and happy. To express their feelings through a world of art and become bold and brave artists.
We feel that the arts are so important to us as individuals that we want everyone in school to feel the same. We are going to work hard this year to promote the Arts throughout the school.

We have been thinking of some competitions that we can hold to encourage our friends to take part in the arts at home so watch this space for the latest one! If you have any ideas on how we can promote and encourage the arts in Daubeney, please talk to one of us and we can share it at our next meeting. Thanks everyone for reading!

Florence 3P - Wow! You have been busy! I hope to be in the Junior Art Team next year. (year 4).

Audrey 4m - I love being in the art team it’s so much fun to use your imagination or express your feelings about different things in life . It was so much fun when I was in it last year it was really exiting to explore different ways to do art?‍???

Audrey 4M - We had so much fun explaining why art is so important at our first meeting

Daubeney mum - Art is a personal expression! You can achieve anything with art! It’s amazing to chart the course of history through art, it did the same job as the internet before the 1990’s!!! I recommend a visit to the National Gallery before June this year as it’s closing for a three year refurbishment project ?
